The beginning
One roaster, one ridgeline
Ridgeline began in 2018 with a used drum roaster, a spare hundred pounds of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, and more optimism than sense. The first bags went to friends. The second batch went to a farmers' market. By the third summer we'd outgrown the garage and moved into the shop we're in today, tucked against the pines on Bend's east side.
What we believe
The things that shape every bag
Not a manifesto, just how we like to work.
Origin matters
A bean from a specific farm tastes like that farm. We try to keep that intact through roast and brew.
Slow is a feature
We roast in small batches because we can taste the difference, and so can you.
Buy the good stuff
We pay well above commodity prices and work with importers who share the same idea of fair.
The people
The crew behind the counter

A small team that shares the roasting, cupping, and Saturday morning cleanup.
Coffee tastes better shared
