Everything below is handled by our two mechanics on the bench at 18 Commercial St, Portland, ME 04101. Most jobs are same-day or next-morning, and we test-ride every bike before it goes back on the rack.
Prices depend on parts and condition. We’ll always quote before we start, and call you first if we find anything beyond the original number.
The menu
Five things we do, every day.
From a seasonal safety check to a hand-built wheel, it’s the same two hands on the tools. Bring the bike in and we’ll walk through what it needs with you.
Standard tune-up
Safety check, gear and brake adjustment, drivetrain degrease, tire and bolt check. The right service for most bikes once a season.
Full overhaul
Everything on the standard tune-up plus bearing service, cable replacement and a deep drivetrain clean. For bikes that haven’t been touched in a while.
Brake service
Pad replacement, cable and hydraulic bleeds, rotor truing. Disc and rim brakes, mechanical and hydraulic — all handled on the bench.
Drivetrain and shifting
New chains, cassettes, chainrings and derailleurs. Indexed shifting dialed in so every gear lands where it should, first click.
Wheel work
Truing, tensioning, spoke replacement and hand-built wheels on request. Tubeless setup and tire fitting also welcome.

- 01Drop the bike offWalk in any time we’re open. We’ll look it over with you at the bench, talk through what it needs and give you a written quote before anything starts.
- 02We call before extrasIf we find something beyond the original quote — a worn cassette hiding under a stretched chain, a cracked rim behind a rub — we call you first. No surprise charges when you come to pick up.
- 03Pick it up ready to rideMost jobs are same-day or next-morning. We test-ride every bike before it goes back on the rack, so what leaves the shop is what you’d want to ride yourself.
